It was girls night out and I threw on on of my very all time favorite pieces! This is a 70s dress from Gotta Have It in Venice. This dress was actually cut by a stylist who literally took a scissors to it and it has raw edges throughout. She cut high slits on tthe side and cut the back out. The print is gorgeous and I love the fit. I have to wear a bikini top with it as the sides are skimpy, but I actually like the look of the bathing suit ties hanging out. It makes it a bit beachy but still glam. I threw on some old YSL slingback shoes and grabbed a vintage boho bag.
We hit Santa Monica Place mall and shopped around a bit before having dinner at The Huntley. I wanted to bring you some more photos of the shops and the new mall, but the security guard stopped us. Can you believe he actually said "no glamour shots." WHAT? This is a public place which is a huge tourist destination and we can't take photos? Walking around that mall was not the best. This last photo was in front of "all saints" I was excited to check out this place and love all saints pieces. When we strolled in the feeling was cold and not welcoming. Ok, I might be offended once again when the male clerk told me "no photos" as I was snapping a photo of a dress. I have been blogging for a while now and believe me I have NEVER had this experience. Clerks every place, even the most posh stores in NYC welcome photos, welcome attention, and will even pose with you!! I think this mall is a bit full of themselves and underestimate the power of the bloggers. Sorry to say, I don't think this mall deserves much bloggging. Off to The Huntley for a fun dinner with my girlfriend...enough of this place!
